Main Street Enhancement

Dorris Main Street Enhancement; $229,000

James' first successful grant, this project provided new street lighting and sidewalks for downtown Dorris, California. James worked closely with Dorris City officials and Ore-Cal RC&D board members to develop mission and objectives for the enhancement and economic development of main street.

This successful grant application installed new, antique style street lights along main-street Dorris and partnered with city officials who contributed new sidewalks as well. 

James also wrote a successful follow-up grant that planted ornamental trees along main street Dorris, completing the main objectives identified by city officials.
